Hospitality Unit, Purpose: The Hospitality Unit serves a cool refreshing drink to the clergy including the pastor and wife, elders, ministers, and guests as well. The major functions of the Hospitality Unit are performed on Sunday mornings and other special services. It is our mission to show loving hospitality to our special guests as well as attending to the needs of the people, “for the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ” Ephesians 4:12.
Usher board, Purpose: An usher plays the role of a silent evangelist. He/she gives attendees of the service the first impression of the church. No matter how well the choir sings, or how inspiring the message, if attendees have been insulted by an usher, it takes away their enthusiasm for the entire worship experience. The responsibility of the usher board is to meet/greet the people at the door with a smile and reassure them that they are in the Lord’s house, see that they are properly seated, and give them any pertinent information regarding the services if it is available. The beauty of the Lord’s house is its order and much of this will depend upon an efficient usher board. This unit operates on several levels and should be on hand at all worship gatherings.
Trustee Board, Purpose: The trustee board, consist of nine members. The board may act as the governing body of the churches fiancés e. g. paying bills and salaries and releasing funds for the general upkeep and maintenance of the church. A board member must a faithful member of the church, and shall be a constant tither. A board member shall possess a consistent Christian testimony; reflect Godly character and maturation of their Christian faith. A board member should be a person of prayer willing to work as a team player supportive of the trustee board and Pastor, and be committed to the church. A board member shall be at least twenty-five (25) years of age.
Voices of Pentecostal, Purpose: The purpose of the Choir Ministry is to share the gospel of Jesus Christ through song, encourage believers in their walk with Christ, lead the congregation in worship, and provide an avenue through which individuals may share their gift and be an integral part of worship..
Praise & Worship Team, Purpose: The purpose of the Praise & Worship Team is to lead the congregation in worship, encourage participation in corporate worship, and prepare the people for the Word of God.
The mission of the Nurses’ Unit is to serve Jesus Christ and His people through health ministry. Nurses and many other healthcare professionals join in Christian and professional unity to promote holistic health, wellness and healing, which we affirm comes from the “redemptive work of Jesus Christ on the cross.” Our goal is for the Saints of the Church of God in Christ and others worldwide, to prosper in health as their souls prosper (III John 2).
